"We started
our business quite by "accident" in the
fall of 1997. I had several cousins from out of
town getting married in the Manti LDS Temple. In
the past, we had all gathered at the local City
Park for a picnic after the wedding to visit and

one another's company. However, the weather was turning
colder and so, at this particular time, I invited everyone
to our home. The warm setting was the perfect escape from
the cold weather.
"After the initial "success", I started
receiving requests from other families to host their "after
wedding gathering" at my home, and it wasn't long
before The Rose Cottage was created.
"My husband Rick and I have lived in Manti for
thirty years and are very familiar with the area
and what Manti has to offer. We were well aware of how
badly a Reception Center was needed when the following
year, our son, Austin, became engaged. It was then decided
to build a separate facility designed exclusively for
family gatherings and large social activities.
"At present, The Rose Cottage Reception Center is
a beautiful
room
where families and friends have been gathering together
and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Rick and I and each of our children, and now a son
and daughter-in-law, have enjoyed meeting and serving
people from all over the United States, and several
foreign countries. |

Most of our guests have come as mere strangers to our
home, hungry and tired. Many of them, especially the
mother of the bride, have arrived nervous and worried,
but left as friends, relaxed and refreshed, and ready
to continue on with all of the special events planned
for the rest of the day.
"Rick and I know the importance of family traditions
and special events, and we are also sensitive to the
broad range of emotions that exist in those relationships.
We are also very professional in our service when it
comes to executive parties and company dinners.
"We look forward to meeting you and participating
with you in doing all we can to make your special occasion
just exactly what you have always wanted it and expected
it to be."
Sincerely,
Julie Snow Christensen and Family
